Use of the tools

TurfDial provides free lawn-care calculators for informational purposes only. The outputs of these tools — rates, volumes, timings, and other results — are based on published agronomic models and extension research, but they are not a substitute for professional agronomic, horticultural, or landscaping advice.

Before applying any fertilizer, pesticide, or soil amendment, always verify the calculated rate and timing against the product's label and the conditions specific to your lawn, soil type, climate, and local regulations. The product label is the law. TurfDial outputs are a starting point, not an override.

No warranty

The tools and content on TurfDial are provided "as is" without warranty of any kind, express or implied. We do not warrant that the tools are error-free, that outputs are accurate for every possible input or soil condition, or that the site will be uninterrupted or available at all times. Your use of the tools is at your own risk.

To the fullest extent permitted by law, TurfDial and its operators disclaim all liability for any damages — direct, indirect, incidental, or consequential — arising from your use of, or inability to use, the site or its tools.

Intellectual property

The content, tools, copy, and design of TurfDial are owned by TurfDial and its operators. The agronomic models and research underlying the tools are credited to their original sources (extension publications, peer-reviewed research) as documented in each tool's methodology section. You may use the tools freely for personal, non-commercial purposes. You may not reproduce or republish TurfDial content — including tool outputs, explainers, or methodology descriptions — without permission.

Updates to tools and terms

We may update tools, formulas, or underlying models over time as better sources become available or errors are corrected. We may also update these Terms of Service. Continued use of the site after a change to these terms constitutes acceptance of the updated terms. The "last updated" date at the top of this page reflects the most recent revision.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the United States and the State of Wisconsin, without regard to conflict-of-law provisions.
